Making Earth Lodges
Classes

​Our unique programs include stand alone classes and partnerships with the community to offer unique opportunities for learners. Combining STEM concepts with object based learning allows students to make connections to the world around them. No matter the environment, our goal is for students to find success though hands on learning, movement, independent discovery time.

Current offerings: After School STEM  (Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30pm)

For students in grades 1st through 5th, join us for a weekly STEM themed class or come and explore a variety of STEM activities on your own. Open to learners of all kinds (traditional, homeschool, etc). Come meet new friends and develop skills for success!

​As a licensed educator in both Florida and Illinois, I have experience in personalizing lessons to help students gain confidence in learning. I am also qualified to review evaluations in Florida, specializing in the unschooling approach to homeschool.

Are online lessons boring your child?  Have you taught them a skill repeatedly and they still aren't grasping it?  Sometimes another approach is all they need. Through my ability to connect with students combined with a creative "less is more" lesson design, many reluctant learned have discovered a renewed love of learning.

​New to homeschooling?  Overwhelmed with what curriculum to use?  Not sure how to document student work?  Maybe you've reached a stalemate in learning and need some fresh ideas.  Whatever your needs are as a homeschooling parent, I can help.  I specialize in reaching reluctant learners and help families see the big picture.  Once that realization hits, there's no more sweating the small stuff and staying positive even through the tough days will come naturally.

Scout Badges

​Looking for a hands-on way for your scouts to earn badges? We can help! Whether your troop comes to the farm for or we come to you, either way will deliver engaging activities and knowledgeable information to prepare your scouts for their next badge (must be purchased separately through your organization).
